It's about time

A black violet and five white tulips
are natural perfumes in our bedroom
when outside a king protea is a queen
and you put on some music to relieve
my back pain and rub almond oil
on my belly and the baby kicks and kicks.
Joy is with us when you kiss my nipples
and gently come inside to sooth the pain.
God is in the Joy inside and the baby kicks
and kicks chasing a kite on the rainbow.
God is in the rainbow and the backache
flies with the kite and the baby smiles
and kicks and kicks for it's about time...
